Located in his Laguna Beach, California studio this modern midsummer night’s dream is Aaron R Thomas’ latest installation. The handcrafted bulletproof acrylic indoor/outdoor chandelier is a glowing orb of brilliant contemporary design. Drawing a crowd of passersby who catch a peek of its glow from over the fence, this center-of-attention sculpture is suspended by ropes and hardware reclaimed from a boat that sailed around the world and was being scrapped for its metal. Made out of several acrylic links, the sculpture has multiple forms and evolves in an organic fashion.
