Layered Acrylic Sculpture

This piece just went on sale at HD Buttercup in Culver City. This piece is a product of hours of artistic labor. It is made of carefully layered acrylic slabs with multi-colored resin joints formed one after another into a large monolith. Then Aaron carefully chiseled layer after layer to form a twisting, living form. After that, Aaron heated the piece to over 2500 degrees to pull out interesting textures before rapidly cooling with water to leave a flowing pattern over the surface. Finally, hours of hand polishing pulled parts of the sculpture back to clarity. The result is a piece unlike anything ever imagined. You must see the way this piece captures light to appreciate it.
